Who are we?
We are Cub Scout Pack 183, and we are located in Barrington, IL, near Grove Ave Elementary. Our home pack is part of the Trailblazer District and our chartered organization is Salem Methodist, located in downtown Barrington.
Who’s Invited?
How does it work?
How and when do I join?
Are you a boy or girl in kindergarten through fifte grade is looking to join an amazing community of kind and curious adventurous? It doesn’t matter if you are shy or outgoing, there is a welcoming community for all potential scouts who would like to learn new skills, build confidence, and create lasting memories.
Packs are created based on geographic location. Each Pack consists of different Dens. All scouts will meet one time each month all together for a Pack Meeting. These will generally occur at Grove Avenue school or Citizens Park. During the pack meeting we will work together on different activities, lessons, and projects like rocket launches, nature walks, and more.
Each Den has scouts from the same grade together. The Dens will meet once per month after the Pack Meeting to simplify involvement and make the most of what we know can be very busy times for busy families! The scouts will work together at both meetings to learn new skills, accomplish identified tasks, and work towards completing additional achievements in order to advance to the next rank. The scouts also receive achievement patches, awards and other recognition.
Our Pack is active year-round! You are welcome to come check out a meeting or sign up online. If you want more information before checking out a meeting feel free to check out www.beascout.scouting.org for more info!
